The Manila Cathedral massacre

Of trees that is…

When I arrived at our office Monday morning, I was shocked at the sight of fallen trees in Plaza Roma, right in front of the Manila Cathedral inside historic Intramuros.

I counted 10-20 trees that were cut down; I guess the Intramuros Administration (IA) wanted to improve the view at the cathedral which is frequented by tourists.

I’m still at a loss why until now; environmental groups aren’t raising a howl over this gruesome massacre of trees which happened right smack at the doorsteps of the Manila Cathedral.
