EMERGENCY ANTI-ARROYO RATs (Rapid Action Teams) IN MANHATTAN!
Thursday, June 26, 2008
Gather at 6pm @ Southwest Corner of West 54 St. and
the Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave), near the Hilton Hotel.
Take F train to 57th St.
Note venue change to the Hilton, due to the diversionary tactics of Arroyo’s planning committee. Although they are trying to silence the people’s voices by diverting them from her actual location, Fil-ams seeking justice will not be deceived.
Come join Filipinos from NYC and NJ Rapid Action Teams (RATs) to houndduring her stay in NYC. Since NYC is known for its rats, the National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON) and USA are planning several RATs that will attract to Arroyo’s rotten, disgusting odor.
The lavish US tour of Arroyo includes 10 of her cabinet members in one of the most expensive and unnecessary expenditures of the Filipino people’s money. This while typhoon season has hit many communities in the Philippines, destroying villages and homes.
“Arroyo’s administration is an overflowing heap of garbage that wreaks of under the table deals and putrid corruption, decomposing in one scandal after another that has overflowed to the economic crisis that is worsening the Filipino people with rising prices of people’s basic necessities. Arroyo’s human rights violation record has a stench worst than the Marcos’ dictatorship with over 903and 193 enforced disappearances since Arroyo took power in 2001,” declared Rico Foz, Executive Vice President of NAFCON.
BAYAN USA launched the first RAT actions against Arroyo during her 2005 visit to the United Nations in New York.
We are calling friends and allies to take action against Arroyo and the corrupt regime she epitomizes.
RATs are being organized by National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON), BAYAN USA, Anakbayan-NY/NJ, Filipinas for Rights and Empowerment (FiRE) and the NY Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines.
